  3. Better large-file handling has been implemented.  In prior versions,
  4. operation was slow and erratic when large numbers of files were opened.

  8. The file I/O portion of 22NICE has been completely reworked.  In previous
  9. versions, there were a few ill-behaved applications that opened multiple
  10. extents of the same file for writing, which caused inconsistent results
  11. to occur.  The current version implements an open-file tracking sytem so
  12. that multiple write requests on the same file are properly processed.

  16. A new option, IOMAP has been added to GENCOM.  This powerful feature
  17. allows the user to intercept I/O instructions and pass them to an 80x86
  18. handler.  It's possible to emulate chips and peripherals used by the
  19. original CP/M program.
